Article Title:Pedagogical notes for dance: considerations on the training and practice of the dance performer
Abstract:
This article has the objective to introduce some discussions on the training and practice of the dance performer, considering the multiplicity of artistic and pedagogical contexts in which dance is structured. Furthermore, the use of the term dance performer is advocated, in order to describe and reflect on his/her creation and practice's particularities in this artistic language. The article also presents excerpts from interviews with two artists-educators of Sao Paulo city, in order to contribute to the discussion on the dance performer nowadays.
