Article Title:DANCE AS A TEACHING OF SPECIAL REGIME IN ANDALUSIA
Abstract:
This paper focuses on the critical review for the dance, as an official educational program in the Andalusian dance conservatories. We provide a historical review, from the 20th century, considering the pedagogical-artistic field of the dance and the official dance studies in Spain, particularly for the Andalusian dance conservatories, analyzing their curricula and the objectives of this study. We made a review of major definitions, and an additional contribution to the concept of dance with a new proposal for its conceptualization. The primary contribution of this paper is to spotlight the importance of a different treatment that dance education should receive at the basic and professional levels, a factor that should be taken into account to improve dance education programs.
